Where to Patio Post- Lockdown!

June 18, 2021 | Trends

After what feels like an eternity of being cooped up in our homes cooking EVERY SINGLE MEAL + playing makeshift bartenders, the time has finally come…. Toronto patio’s are now open! This is not a drill.

While everyone and their grandmas have flocked to Opentable to start booking we wanted to share our top 6 Toronto patio picks of the moment!

1. Gusto 501

If you followed either of us on Instagram pre pandemic, you would be no stranger to the fact that we are serious Gusto fans! Located in one of our favourite ares, Corktown; Gusto 501 is an authentic, community-driven culinary experience offering a fresh take on contemporary Italian fare. Designed to perfection by award-winning architecture firm PARTISANS, Guto 501’s space is an architectural marvel, with the perfect rooftop spot to enjoy views of the neighbourhood and a bowl of Mafalde  ai Funghi . Gusto 501 strikes a seamless balance between neighborhood restaurant and culinary destination making it the ideal place for everything from your morning espresso to a celebratory dinner.

2. La Palma

Since La Palma opened, we have loved both its indoor and outdoor spaces for a bright summer lunch date. With their second-floor patio overlooking Dundas Street West and their new street-side patio, La Palma and  Casa La Palma offer the perfect setting for dining al fresco. Their menu boasts sophisticated yet simple Italian offerings, ideal for sharing while soaking up some sun and sipping a picture perfect cocktail .

3. Stock T.C

Throughout the pandemic Stock T.C. has been our go-to spot for special occasion groceries, fresh pasta, sommelier approved wines and pure culinary bliss. To keep the hype alive, they have just opened their rooftop patio for the first time, and we can’t get there fast enough! This patio space is the largest rooftop patio in the Yonge-Eglington corridor, with a reaching view of the city from a fresh vantage point. Enjoy the Stock menu al fresco or in  the dining room oasis perched atop the building that has stood in this bustling corner since 1936.

4. Sofia

When we’re feeling like a treat yourself kind of meal in the a perfectly curated setting, Sofia is the spot. Their patio is a cultural hub of art, design, culinary delight and of course, amazing wine. This is upper-tier dining in a classy, yet laid back setting that makes any meal a fun experience. We have never met a Sofia dish that we didn’t obsess over and highly recommend this Yorkville hot spot.
